So for Christmas I received a new laptop and I thought it's time to get branching out my blog. Having reached over 50 followers I want this to continue so created the blogs tumblr at www.thepaletails.tumblr.com.
Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year and this year certainly didn't disappoint. I had such a beautiful day with my family. I love a time that brings together friends, family around a plate of damn good food. What more could you want?
Personal post here and one I've been frightened to actually post about however this is something that I am absolutely NOT embarrassed about and I am open to talking about in the hope that perhaps I could help other people suffering with this awful awful thing.
So today I did my first outfit of the day pictures. I promise these will improve I felt a little strange being so posey in front of the camera. I had such a laugh doing these images though and I will be taking pictures of my in a different brighter prettier location soon.
Ebay has been and always will be one of my favourite stores to buy from. It supplies so many different things from makeup to clothes and even electricals!
I love eBay the most because it's so easy to find cheap and amazing quirky items and I god damn luuurve quirky items (particularly mermaid related). This whole post accidentally ended up being completely mermaid-esque woooops.
Firstly is the tulle skirt. I actually bought this a few days ago, it's super cheap and the delivery was quick and it looks SO amazing. The quality is beautiful and it's literally a mermaids dream it looks so pretty.
The faux fur jacket I also bought in bright purple. This too was an absolute steal and it's literally such good quality and delivery was super speedy.
As for the top, this is on my to buy list. The seashells are both risque but also super cayooot.
And as for the makeup brushes and shell bag.. well that speaks for itself.. HOW FRICKIN AMAZING PLEASE. It's literally only £8.99 aswell like HOW??? I'm not complaining though hahaha.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
The critics choice movie awards crowns the finest in cinematic achievement so celebrities had to ensure that they looked the part. There were an array of looks though these are some of the best.
Nicole Kidman stunned in this beautiful Brandon Maxwell triangle-cut black dress. Risque yet elegant; she looks simply stunning in this piece. The dress highlights her athletic figure. Teamed with a messy up-do and strappy heels she oozed elegance at this years critics choice awards.
Evan Rachel Wood too looked elegant in this Altuzarra suit. She proves you don't have to wear a dress to look sexy. She topped off the look with Christian Louboutins and a simple choice of jewellery which works really well to not take away from the outfit itself. She looks simply stunning.
Kate Beckinsale stood out from the crowd in this Reem Acra gown. With a plunging neckline and puffiness in just the right places this sheer dress looks both classy and dazzling. Kate opted for a neutral face to ensure all eyes were on here beautiful dress. She wore Christian Louboutins to finish off the look.
Amy Adams kept things simple with her Atelier Versace dress. She chose to have her hair back off her face and shoulders accentuating her gown and its neckline. The white of the dress compliments her skin tone perfectly. She too opted for simple jewellery by Nirav Modi topping off a sophisticated look.
Lily Collins was my favourite look of all. With her dark vampy makeup and lace Ellie Saab high neck gown. She teamed the dress with Chanel jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. I love the gothic yet tasteful feel of this outfit.
These are a few of my favourite looks from the Critics choice awards. Hope you enjoyed the post.
This weeks High-street must haves have been largely influenced by my induction at River Island as a number of things caught my eye. I get a uniform allowance so some of these things I will be able to get for essentially free which is SO amazing.
So, having created a few blogs before and them trailing off into thin air I felt like it was time I actually created one that properly represented ME and captivated both my attention and hopefully yours. My old blogs felt childish, limited even... I have changed a rather drastic amount and just felt like they no longer represented who I am.
